J.D. Evermore as Mitchell Wate?

Is J.D. Evermore really playing Ethan's Dad? I never saw the official cast release for it and I'm wondering if its true or not....I mean he looks like he'd do a great job at playing Mr. Wate but I'd really like to know if he truly is playing him.
